Throughout the year in Mrs. Caston's class, students are taught many new things. For example, students learn new techniques on drawing, painting, and sculpting, which helps them progress and create better pieces of art work. Mrs. Caston attended school at UNR and received her Bachelor's Degree in Education and Fine Arts. She said she loves her job but says it can be very challenging. She often stays after school long hours to work on demonstration models and visuals such as slides and/or pictures. The models and pictures help to show the class what the finished products are supposed to look like. Mrs. Caston loves to see her student's work in shows. There are many shows in which her students could enter their work. The Brewery Arts Center, the Senator Square Art Show, National Scholastics, Watercolor Society and various others are just some of the many shows that her students can enter. |
