Mr. Whatley graduated from Carson High School with the class of 1992. After two years at University of Nevada, Reno, he transferred to Southern Oregon University and completed his undergraduate degree in English with emphasis on Ethics. Two years later, he married Ms. Breeden, who also teaches here at Carson High School. Together, they moved and lived in Berkeley, California. Mr. Whatley worked as a motorcycle mechanic for two years and a teacher at San Leandro High School for two years. Mr. Whatley and his wife decided to move back to Carson City and work as teachers at Carson High School because they had family who lived in Carson, and they both felt that Carson City is a wonderful place to live. Mr. Whatley has been teaching here at Carson High School for six years so far.  His hobbies are mountain and road biking, hiking, dirt-biking, running and swimming.
