A thoughtful Career and Academic Plan (CAP) will provide the opportunity for success in high school, post-secondary education planning, and career planning.  There are counselors, teachers, parents, and tools such as interest inventories that can help you decide where your skills, strengths, and abilities are.  Finding these will be key to finding a career you will be successful in.  You can always choose an interest area to explore and then switch.  Exploring career options is an important part of your high school experience.

Career information in this guide is organized into six interest areas.  Within these interest areas are career pathways.  Based on your interest, skills, and abilities, you will be able to choose an interest area and pathway within that interest area.  It is suggested that you choose your course electives to support the pathway you choose.  On the following pages you will find a description of each pathway and suggestions for course electives and activities you can participate in that support your chosen pathway.
