Counselor Chambers
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, English from Western Montana College in Dillon, Montana in 1999, and I joined the migration of teachers from Montana to Nevada! I completed my Master of Arts in Educational Counseling in 2003 at the University of Phoenix.

I'm currently a counselor, and am enjoying the job very much! I love being an advocate for students and helping them make decisions for school and life. I was an English teacher for 4 1/2 years before taking this position as a counselor. I obviously value education and am proud to be a part of Carson High School. I do miss the classroom, and the energy of all those kids, but as a counselor, I especially like being able to give students one-on-one attention.

Every other Wednesday after school, I lead a Girl's Group for girls who just need a place to vent and talk about things. We focus on decision making, stress management, and values. I'm also the advisor for the Carson High Book Club.

I'm married to Bob Chambers, who teaches English here. We have two dogs, Shadow and Gretta, and a cat, Ralph. I love reading, shopping, skiing, working out, and spending time with my family, friends, and pets.
