Mrs. Mathis graduated with a double degree in English and Criminal Justice from Guilford College in North Carolina, earned her teaching certification from California State University at Northridge, and earned her Master's degree in counseling from the University of Nevada, Reno. She is nationally board certified in school counseling.
She loves to read (as he former students would tell you) and carries a dictionary around with her constantly; she loves cats and has many; and she enjoys working with students both in the classroom and in the counseling office.
