Counselor Olson
Mr. Olson was born in Anaconda, Montana. He is married and has 5 children and 12 grandchildren. He has been teaching and counseling for a total of 37 years. He and his wife, Colleen, moved to Nevada after his daughter Molly Walt talked them into it. They have a summer home in Georgetown Lake, Montana, where they spend most of their summer. He has plans to continue remodeling it each summer. Mr. Olson is a big fan of the 49ers. He watches all pro and college games and says he likes to hibernate from the Super Bowl until Labor Day.

Mr. Olson graduated from Western Montana College with a Bachelor's of Science in Social Studies and Business. Later he received his Master's Degree in Counseling and Administration.

Mr. Olson has been a counselor at Carson High for 11 years now. His duties as a counselor are to see students by appointment and discuss any small or major issue, take care of any class changes and to register students for the next school year. Mr. Olson enjoys his job very much. His only wish would be that he could have less students so that he could spend more time with the students he has. Mr. Olson has attended a four day educator's tour to West Point which was one of his highlights.
