Mr. Bean is a Science/Astrophysics teacher at Carson High. He is also an assistant varsity football coach and head freshman boy's basketball coach. Mr. Bean graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from Linfield College, McMinville, Oregon in 1990 with a major in Physics and minors in Chemistry and Math.

Mr. Bean is part of NASA's Themis-Geons project. GEONS stands for Geomagnetic Events Observation Network by students. Mr. Bean's students collect data on how solar weather affects the Earth's magnetic field. Mr Bean is also the webmaster for the Western Nevada Astronomical Society (WNAS).

Mr. Bean enjoys his family, his 4 dogs (Carson, Muffin, PomPom, and the newest addition, Lil'-Pom), Astronomy, relaxing at Borders, Starbucks, and collecting Star Wars stuff.
