He graduated with a Masters degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. This is Mr. McCarthy's second stint at Carson High School. He was a counselor from 1994-2002. He then moved to Galena High School as a counselor from 2002-2007. Him and his wife has 2 children. He is also the head wrestling coach.
