The National Honor Society was created in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals to recognize and encourage academic achievement while developing other characteristics essential to citizens in a democracy. Today, the National Honor Society is the premier nationwide organization for high school students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in areas of academics, character, leadership, and service.

The Carson High chapterof the National Honor Society meets the first Wednesday of every month during lunch in the small gym.

National Honor Society at Carson High school is based on a points system, as well as academic achievement. Every service activity counts towards your total accumlation of points. Each member must maintain a minimum cululative GPA of 3.45. Members are also responsible for accumulating 25 points by May 30th each year.
