Principles of Business and Marketing | ||||
Prerequisite: None This course is an entry-level course in the Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Sports & Entertainment Marketing programs that develops student understanding and skill in areas such as business law, communications, customer relations, economics, information management, marketing, and operations. Students acquire knowledge of fundamental business and marketing activities, factors affecting business, develop verbal and written communications skill, and participate in career exploration and planning. This course will fulfill the Career and Technical Education graduation requirement. This course is based on or meets the Nevada State Business & Marketing Education Standards. Lab Fee: $10. |

Marketing I | ||||
Prerequisite: Principles of Business and Marketing This course is a continuation of the Marketing and Entrepreneurship programs. Students will learn and practice skills in the functional areas of marketing: channel management, marketing-information management, market planning, market research, pricing, promotion, product management and professional selling. Ethical and legal issues of these functions will be covered. The appropriate use of technology and industry-standard equipment is an integral part of this course. Upon successful completion of this course, students will have acquired entry-level skills for employment and be prepared for postsecondary education.
